Do you remember someone who was very special in your life?
Someone who your parents trusted?
Someone who was a source of protection for you while you were away from home?
Someone who was very concerned with your safety?
Someone who greeted you each morning and said goodbye each evening five days a week throughout the school year?
Someone who was always there, no matter the weather conditions?
Someone who made sure you were at school on time?
Someone who was there to take you home at the end of the school day?
Someone who made sure you made it home safely from school every day?
The members of the DeWitt County Farm Bureau do! We recognized our Cuero, Yoakum, Meyersville, Yorktown, Nordheim and Westhoff School bus drivers with a gift and meal at the Cuero High School cafeteria. Unintentionally, our bus drivers are taken for granted and this recognition ceremony was long overdue. We recognized them all and discovered several bus drivers with over 25 years of continuous service. The recognition banquet was very much appreciated by our bus drivers.

We offer a special thanks to each bus driver who makes his and her daily rounds this school year and those who have served as bus drivers in the past. Once again, thank you bus drivers for your service to our community and our children.
