Food Check-Out Week 2010


The Harris County Farm Bureau Food Check-Out Week was held at St. John Lutheran Early Childhood Center in Cypress, Feb. 24.  The program included 263 children who collected 1,404 food items. The winning class, with 248 items, was Mrs. Bunker, Bridge class.  The student who went above and beyond to collect the most was also one of Mrs. Bunker's students. Cypress Assistance Ministries (CAM) benefited from the effort. Harris County Farm Bureau President Hobart Smith, his wife Laverne and Dee Cannon are pictured along with St. John Lutheran Early Childhood Center Principal Celeste May, CAM food pantry director  Joan Christensen, and students.
