About our County Farm Bureau

Montgomery County Farm Bureau was established March 3, 1958. The annual dues were set at $10 per year. We currently have over 2,500 members in our organization. Our office is located at 405 N. Loop 336 W in Conroe.

Board Officers

Stuart Traylor is our board president and has maintained that position since 1988. He is a commodity chairperson for Forage/Hay, Policy Development, National Affairs, State Affairs, and AGFUND. Traylor is also a Lifetime Chairman of the Board for the Montgomery County Fair Association.	Paul Zylman is our board vice president and has maintained that position since 2001. He is a commodity chairperson for Information, Young Farmers and Ranchers, and Youth Activities. Zylman is also chairman for the Montgomery County Fair Association.
Joe Cater is our secretary-treasurer and has held that position since 2002. He is a commodity chairperson for Beef/Cattle, Membership and Environmental Regulations. Cater is an assistant chairman for the Montgomery County Fair Association.

Board Members

Richard Spence is a commodity chairperson for Economic Services. He is also an assistant chairman for the Montgomery County Fair Association.	Larry Bumpurs is a commodity chairperson for Labor Relations/Safty and Tax Watch. He has been a member of the Montgomery CFB board since 2003.
Nicholas Hemken is a Montgomery County businessman and cattle rancher. He has been a member of the Montgomery CFB board since June 2005.	Lee Brown, a commercial beef cattle producer and realtor, became a board member in 2006. He is also chairman of the Replacement Heifer Show at the Montgomery County Fair.
