Annual Meeting Recap

Joe Parsley (left) congratulates John Chapman for winning the $500 grand prize given away at the CCFB annual meeting. A special thanks goes to Lone Star Transportation for this donation!

Hug Ragsdale was the guest speaker at our annual meeting. Hug is an ag teacher at Alba Golden ISD.

Rep. Chuck Hopson spoke about agriculture to the members in attendance.

Cherokee County Farm Bureau works with the community to educate our youth and the general public about agriculture. Through the Mobile Learning Barn, Youth Fairs, and Ag Days, Cherokee CFB and local businesses work together to keep the public aware that food in America is safe and affordable. Recently, youth enjoyed making butter using a lesson in the Ag in the Classroom Resource Guide.

The above two photos show kids at Rusk Intermediate having fun making butter.

Zachary and Caleb Guess, sons of TFBIC agent Michael Guess, were two of the recipients of Farm Bureau coloring book covers, given to local elementary school children.
