Planet Agriculture is an educational concept designed to assist participants in recapturing their lost connection with agriculture. Planet Agriculture demonstrates how agriculture touches everyone on a daily basiseven beyond the necessities of food and clothing! The goal is for those experiencing Planet Agriculture to come away realizing when they drive to work on tires, wear cotton or wool clothing, brush their teeth, wear belts, play sports, use chalk, consume soft drinks, wear make-up, or undertake countless other daily activities, they are interacting with agriculture.
It's
a Fact...
In today's world of busy schedules, we sometimes lose touch
of the fact that our own relatives were involved with production agriculture
in some form or fashion. Many of us can remember going to Grandpa's farm or
have heard stories from our grandparents about their experiences down on the
farm. For others, time has completely removed their direct touch to agriculture.
