Checkoff report released
The Texas beef checkoff program reports on a year of projects that helped stabilize U.S. beef demand in the 1999-2000 annual summary now available by calling 1-800-846-4113.

The annual report highlights recent beef checkoff projects funded with Texas beef producers' dollars on both state and national levels. Producers can also request a more detailed audited financial statement by calling the toll-free number.

"The annual report is a great story of how Texas beef producers' dollars are making the nation's beef industry stronger," said Ken Jordan of San Saba, chairman of TBC's board of directors. "It is important for every producer to examine a copy to see the advances our industry is making."

One side of the black-and-white annual report summary carries national checkoff investment information. The other side carries results of programs conducted in Texas to build beef demand.

The TBC annual report also will be available for much of the year at producer events across the state. Look for TBC's representative at these producer meetings.
