Television programming featuring Farm Bureau is now aired each day on RFD-TV. The Farm Bureau block originally airs each evening from 8 to 9 p.m. (Eastern), with repeat broadcasts the following morning and afternoon. Video news, and programs from the state Farm Bureaus, including Texas, California, Idaho, Arkansas, Louisiana, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan, Mississippi, and Georgia, are currently featured within this time-frame, with more states being added monthly. RFD-TV is a 24-hour network dedicated to serving the needs of rural America, and is available on any DISH Network home-satellite system on channel 9409. In addition to the Farm Bureau features, RFD-TV airs daily blocks of programming from the FFA, National High School Rodeo Association, a two-hour block dedicated to horse owners called HorseTV, as well as weekly offerings highlighting Classic Tractors and syndicated programs led by the one-hour version of U.S. Farm Report, Texas Country Reporter, and many other programs and features focused on the rural lifestyle. "Response from the audience has been off the charts since our launch on December 15," stated Patrick Gottsch, president of RFD-TV. "People from all over the country are saying it's about time someone paid attention to us rural folks and agriculture. They are impressed with the variety of features and information produced by each state Farm Bureau. They especially like the convenience of watching this in prime-time." RFD-TV is a free channel available to anyone subscribing to a DISH basic package. For members who have never had a DISH Network system, Farm Bureau is now offering a free 3922 system, with free standard installation. Members must have a valid, major credit card to qualify for the free system and installation, and must agree to keep the DISH Network TOP 150 programming package for one year. A lifetime warranty is added, at no charge, if ordered through the Farm Bureau hotline at 1-888-890-4745, or through the exclusive website for members at www.RFD-TV.com. Members who currently have Cable, DirecTV, or C-band (big dish) systems may also switch to DISH, for free, under the same terms as outlined above. DISH Network is capable of offering over 500 channels, and was ranked number one in overall customer satisfaction among cable/satellite TV subscribers by J.D. Power and Associates in 1999 and 2000.
