Town hall meetings set
The Texas Department of Agriculture will host a series of town hall meetings in September and October throughout the state. Commissioner Susan Combs will meet with farmers, ranchers, rural economic development and community leaders and rural citizens to discuss issues that are affecting the agricultural industry and rural Texas. The meetings are free and open to the public.
Wednesday Sept. 12, 2001
•Stephens County, 8:30-10 a.m., Texas State Technical College, 307 North Breckenridge, Breckenridge.
•Hill County, Noon-1:30 p.m., Extension Auditorium, Courthouse Annex, 126 South Covington, Hillsboro.
•Tom Green County, 3:30-5 p.m., Saint Ambrose Parish, 8602 Loop 570, Wall.
Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001
•Grayson County, 8:30-10 a.m., Economic Development Center, Grayson College, 6101 Grayson Drive, Denison.
•Bowie County, 1:30-3 p.m., Bowie County Plaza Meeting Room, 601 Main, Texarkana.
•Rusk County, 5-6:30 p.m., Henderson Economic Development Corp. Board Room 201 N. Main, Henderson.
Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2001
•Liberty County, 4-5:30 p.m., Raywood Livestock Auction Barn, one-half mile east of Hwy. 770 on Hwy. 90, Liberty.
Friday, Oct. 12, 2001
•Webb County, 2-3:30 p.m., Laredo City Hall, Council Chambers, 1110 Houston St., Laredo.
