Jerry Moody of Mt. Pleasant (left) was named winner of Texas Farm Bureau's Outstanding Young Farmer & Rancher Contest. Moody, his wife, Deanna and two children run a poultry and cattle operation in Titus County in Northeast Texas. Named runners-up in the contest were Ray Chisum of Jayton and Brian Jones of Edcouch. Presenting the award is TFB Executive Director Vernie Glasson. |
Darren Turley of Erath County (right) was named winner of Texas Farm Bureau's Excellence in Agriculture Award. Turley partners with his parents in a small dairy and works off the farm for Cargill Animal Nutrition. Named runners-up in the contest were DeWayne Burnes of Johnson County and Bryan Davis of Hays County. Presenting the award is Texas Farm Bureau President Donald Patman. |
