FB Connection: the wait is over!

The wait is over!

Effective immediately, Farm Bureau Connection is available throughout Texas.

This service program—which offers reduced long distance rates—started in 1966 and has continued to grow each year.

" Thousands of Farm Bureau members, County Farm Bureau offices and even the state headquarters in Waco have been taking advantage of the savings for years," said Roger Jenkins, who heads up the program. "At the same time additional members wanted to utilize the service. However, there were many areas of the state where we could not provide service. We are large enough now to have underlying carriers that will enable us to provide service to virtually every member of Texas Farm Bureau."

Jenkins said Farm Bureau rates are the "best in the business, straight forward, no time-of-day call limitations or calling circles." He urged members to check out and compare the following rates:

•Calls to outside of Texas are 5.9 cents per minute.

•Calls to inside Texas are 9.9 cents per minute.

•800-service calls are 9.9 cents per minute anywhere within the U.S.

•Calling cards are 13.9 cents per minute.

•All calls are billed in six-second increments with one low monthly fee of $1.50.
