Texas Farm Bureau's
Photo Contest winners
You did it again!
Texas Farm Bureau members submitted a bumper crop of pictures that caused the judges to fight, fuss and discuss which one would win this year's contest.
One thing they did agree upon was the talented number of photographers that are Texas Farm Bureau members. They decided every picture was a winner, but taking home the prize money were the following:

1st Place. Garrett Vance of Cleveland, decided to play
cowboy in the stables when Christy Vance took this year's
winning photo.

2nd Place. Snow may not be common in this part of Texas,
but it is uncommonly beautiful when it does fall as illustrated in the
still life by Sandi Danna of Dallas. The photo was taken on the
family's property near Mingus, in Palo Pinto County.

Honorable mention. Mary Elizabeth Cofer took this picture
of ranch hand Odie Lynn "Fats" Page shoeing a horse at the
Annondale Ranch in Uvalde County. Page has worked for the
ranchin operation since 1889for over
30 years.

Honorable Mention. Vickie Smith of Waco snapped
this conversation between her daughter, Priscilla and their
Shetland Pony, "Lady." Vickie says the
two were "best buds" until the Shetland died.
