Your Texas Farm Bureau membership card is your ticket to savings on a variety of practical products and services through the organization's many discount programs. The newest program added to the TFB menu of member benefits is a special rebate program offered by Thermadyne, a multi-national manufacturer of welding and cutting products with locations throughout Texas. Rebates are available on select products purchased between Sept. 1, 2004 and Jan. 31, 2005.
"We're really excited to be able to add the Thermadyne family of products to our member benefits lineup," said Jim Nance, Texas Farm Bureau's director of Field Operations. "The rebate program is a good fit with Farm Bureau because they provide products that farmers and ranchers use in their operations."
Justin Kirby, Thermadyne district business manager, agreed.
"Texas Farm Bureau members are exactly the right audience for what we're selling," said Kirby. "The items selected for the rebate program are farm- and home-oriented products. Whether you're a farmer, rancher or a weekend welder, we have a product right for you."
A number of quality, brand name welders are sold under the banner of Thermadyne through more than 300 distributors in Texas.
"Our Victor line is made in Denton, Texas. All of our companies are American, but Victor is probably our most recognizable brand," said Kirby.
Genuine Victor® oxy-fuel cutting and welding products include oxy-acetylene and oxy-fuel welding and cutting apparatus, torch handles, cutting attachments, straight cutting torches, regulators, cutting tips, welding nozzles, cutting and welding outfits, cutting machines, safety accessories, gas blenders, and gas manifold systems. A $20 TFB rebate is offered with the purchase of the Victor Super Range or the Victor Super Range II.
Some other brands available through Thermadyne include Thermal Dynamics, Thermal Arc, and Raider.
"Although the plasma arc cutting technology is not new, there are not a lot of these systems out there in use. Plasma is used to cut stainless and aluminum as well as other metals. Plasma is more versatile than a regular cutting torch, but not as portable. You still have to have electricity," Kirby explained.
As a TFB member, you can take advantage of a $25 rebate on Thermal Dynamics' CUTMASTER 38. The CUTMASTER 38 combines the reliability and rugged construction of the CUTMASTER power supply design with the new, high performance 1Torch plasma torch to create a new standard of performance for the gauge to 3/8 inch metal cutting world. A $50 TFB rebate applies to the CUTMASTER 51, a member of the recently introduced 1Series family that includes three brand new air plasma cutting systems for 2004.
Buy a new Thermal Arc Raider®, a multiple process machine capable of high quality welding from a Thermadyne dealer, and enjoy a $50 rebate. The Raider's heavy-duty design, built to fit on a truck or trailer, provides high performance on STICK / Lift Start TIG /MIG and Carbon Arc Gouging at 100 percent Duty Cycle @ 250 Amps weld output. It features a unique Power-Plus® patented alternator, and a rugged 20 HP, 2-cylinder, gas fueled, air-cooled Honda engine. Take advantage of a $75 rebate on the Thermal Arc Scout®, ideal for applications in general construction, structural fabrication, pipe welding, professional welding, and for standby power.
Rebates are available on additional Thermal Arc models as follows: $30 Thermal Arc Fab 130/131; Thermal Arc Fab 250/251; $15 for Thermal Arc Dragster 85; and $75 for Thermal Arc 160S.
