Country cleanup
events planned
A series of rural recycling events called Texas Country Cleanups are scheduled for October. Each cleanup will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Dates and places of the cleanups are:
•Oct. 21 at Hill County Fairgrounds near Hillsboro, located on Highway 77 south of town. Contact Shane Goolsby at (254) 582-4022.

• Oct. 25 at Westbrook Valley Gin, south of Hearne on Highway 70 at FM 50. Contact Edward Schneider at (979) 828-4270.
