Fayette County helped local charities with donations during Food Check-Out Week. Attending the presentation were: Rubin Rudloff, director; Clinton Bushacker, director; Rev. Dennis Bragdon, Amen; Betty Gabler, Celebration Food Pantry; Ronnie Herzik, Schulenburg Food Pantry; Gerard Hajovsky, county president; Alfred Bohot, director; and Matt Quinlan, director.
Food Check-Out Week
Food Check-Out Week was celebrated Feb. 4-10, 2007. Fayette County Farm Bureau made monetary donations to the local area food banks including Amen in La Grange, Celebration House of Flatonia and Schulenburg Area Food Pantry to help those families in need in Fayette County.

Membership Week
Fayette County Judge Edward Janecka signed a proclamation in February to designate
it as "Farm Bureau Membership Week in Fayette County." The week
is part of a statewide observance during which the Fayette County Farm Bureau
makes a special effort to enroll new members.

Farm
and Ranch Safety Week
Judge Edward Janecka signed a proclamation designating the week of Sept. 17-23
as Farm and Ranch Safety and Health Week in Fayette County. Fayette County
FB Secretary
Gerard Hajovsky was with the judge during the signing.

Christmas
Open House
Fayette County Farm Bureau holds a Christmas Open House event each December.
Members and the general public are invited to attend. There are refreshments
and gifts for everyone.
Youth
Involvement
Youth Leadership Conference sponsors one or more students from local high
schools to attend the Texas Farm Bureau Youth Leadership Conference.
Ag Dayacquaints youth with the importance of agriculture. Fourth
graders from seven schools in the local areas attend.
Scholarshipsoffered to graduating students from the Schulenburg,
Flatonia, La Grange, Fayetteville, and Round Top-Carmine high schools.
