Meet your
Houston County Board Members


County President Than Richburg received a portfolio from Texas Farm Bureau for getting at least 10 new members to join Houston County Farm Bureau.


Than Richburg, president, has served on the board from 1965-67 and from 1970 to the present. Than raises cattle, hay, cotton and peanuts.

Clifford Currie, vice president, has served on the board since 1994. He works as a forestry road contractor and his interests include timber.

David Rosser, secretary-treasurer, has served on the board since 1998 and is the ag teacher at Lovelady High School in Lovelady. His interests are beef cattle, timber and ag education.

Burl Russell has been a director since 1977. He served at president in 1997 and has held his current position since 1998. Burl is in the nursery business and has been since 1965 and he raises cattle.

Scott Lucas, YF&R chairman for the county, has served as a director since 1994. Scott has a cow/calf operation in Houston County. He also serves on the Houston County Livestock Show board. His interests include cattle and whitetail deer.

George M. Crowson has served on the board for two years. His agricultural interests include livestock, timber, and hay production.

Jack Fleming has served on the board for four years and is the chairman of the State Affairs committee. Jack raised cattle and hay in his operation.

Dr. Dan Lee Craven is a veterinarian in Crockett. His agricultural interests include beef cattle, cow/calf production, general animal health and regulations.
