JJ's Cafe.....WebMania!...Enchanted ground?..Perhaps! Cynthia Ann Parker was nine years old in 1836 when Commanches raided Fort Parker and stole her away. Cynthia Ann was recaptured in the fall of 1860 by the Rangers. Cynthia Ann was deeply unhappy living with her white relatives and in four short years the Prairie Flower died. It is said that the ghost of Cynthia Ann Parker comes back each fall to the very site where JJ's Cafe stands! There she patiently waits for her long lost love to come and take her away. The old Cafe closed in the fall of 1996, but if you go to the site, at sunrise, on a crisp fall morning, you can almost shake hands with the spirit of the unhappy maiden. There is talk of setting a marker at the site to tell this enchanting story of the young Indian maiden. .....to be continued for sure.. .
